The month of October is the official month for teachers.   It is the time when teachers are being remembered for their hard work in molding the young ones who eventually become leaders in the future.
Don Carlos Ledesma National High School in cooperation with the Student Supreme Government headed by Mrs. Charina Mayagma, SSG Adviser joined the World Teachers’ Day Celebratio 2014 last October 7 at Don Carlos Ledesma School Campus.   The SSG was the one who did the planning for the said celebration.

First part of the celebration was a program in which the SSG officers prepared surprises for the teachers.   Some retired teachers, namely Mrs. Soria, Mrs. Fajardo and Mr. Candellada were invited to join the celebration.
The teachers were entertained by a song and dance numbers by the students.   It was also the time when the newly-elected Faculty Club Officers was inducted by Mrs.Morita C. Lastimoso, Admin Officer IV on behalf of Mrs.  Imelda R. Mamac, the School Principal II.   Then, tokens were given to the teachers to show the students’ appreciation to their teachers.   The program ended with a national prayer for teachers.

Second part of the celebration was
the parlor games in which teachers were
asked to play the games prepared by the
teachers. Mrs. Mamac and Ms. Basanta
won the games.

The third part was the lunch
together with the faculty and staff together
 with the invited retired teachers.

The fourth part of the program was the search for Mr. and Ms. Sikat Teachers ’14 which was hosted by Mr. Jethro Nemenzo.   It was a sort of response of the teachers to the surprises prepared by the students.   So, the teachers surprised the students by preparing a surprise presentation.   The teachers group themselves into four (4) groups, The Team Filipino, Team India, Team China and Team Hawaii.   Each group prepared a dance presentation based on their assigned country and then, each group had one (1) male and one (1) female representative for the Sikat Teachers’14.  The search was judged by the retired teachers who were invited for the said celebration.   The winners were the following:
