WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY
CELEBRATION ‘14

The month of October is the official
month for teachers. It is the time when
teachers are being remembered for their hard work in molding the young ones who
eventually become leaders in the future.
Don Carlos Ledesma National
High School in cooperation with the Student Supreme Government headed by Mrs.
Charina Mayagma, SSG Adviser joined the World Teachers’ Day Celebratio 2014
last October 7 at Don Carlos Ledesma School Campus. The SSG was the one who did the planning for
the said celebration.
First part of the celebration was a program in which
the SSG officers prepared surprises for the teachers. Some retired teachers, namely Mrs. Soria,
Mrs. Fajardo and Mr. Candellada were invited to join the celebration.
The
teachers were entertained by a song and dance numbers by the students. It was also the time when the newly-elected
Faculty Club Officers was inducted by Mrs.Morita C. Lastimoso, Admin Officer IV
on behalf of Mrs. Imelda R. Mamac, the
School Principal II. Then, tokens were
given to the teachers to show the students’ appreciation to their
teachers. The program ended with a
national prayer for teachers.
Second
part of the celebration was
the parlor games in
which teachers were
asked to play the
games prepared by the
teachers. Mrs. Mamac and Ms. Basanta
won the games.
The third part was the lunch
together with the
faculty and staff together
with the invited retired teachers.
The fourth part of the program was
the search for Mr. and Ms. Sikat Teachers ’14 which was hosted by Mr. Jethro
Nemenzo. It was a
sort of response of the teachers to the surprises prepared by the
students. So, the teachers surprised
the students by preparing a surprise presentation. The teachers group themselves into four (4)
groups, The Team Filipino, Team India, Team China and Team Hawaii. Each group prepared a dance presentation
based on their assigned country and then, each group had one (1) male and one
(1) female representative for the Sikat Teachers’14. The search was judged by the retired teachers
who were invited for the said celebration.

The
celebration was a very memorable not only to the teachers but also to the
students who witnessed the talents of the teachers. It ended successfully and everybody will
have memories that would last a lifetime.
